The City of Bethlehem has announced the following road work schedules:

Lehigh Street: Norfolk Southern will be working on the railroad crossing on Lehigh Street at Conestoga Street beginning Aug. 20 and will need to close Lehigh Street between Conestoga Street and Main Street until Aug. 23. This closure and detour will be in effect 24 hours a day and a full detour will be posted.

SR378: PennDOT will have pothole maintenance crews on SR378 between Third Street and the Broad Street bridge from midnight to 8 a.m. Aug. 21. Lane restrictions with flaggers will occur.

Center Street / SR512: PennDOT’s contractor for the Center Street reconstruction project is planning to begin paving work Aug. 22. They will begin at Church Street and move north to the project terminus near US 22. Milling operations will occur during the day and paving operations will occur at night. Traffic will be maintained at all times; however, parking will be restricted at times throughout the work. The operations are expected to be completed in approximately 3-4 weeks.
