Lynnette Ann Klinger

Lynnette “Lynne” Ann Klinger, 57, of Allentown, died Aug. 9, 2018, at home surrounded by family.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of Darlene (Snyder) Souders of Allentown, and the late Marvyn “Mike” Souders.

A 1979 graduate of Parkland High School, after high school she attended Moravian College, graduating with degrees in social work and psychology and then Kutztown State University from which she received a Master’s degree in psychology.

She spent her life working in the field of human services, initially working with sexual assault victims at the Lehigh County Rape Crisis Council.

After that, she was employed by Lehigh County, where she worked with families of abused and neglected children for 30 years before retiring in 2016.

She was also a play therapist for 13 years at the Florence Child Guidance Center.

She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 32 years, Karl; two sons Jason and Adam; and Millie.

Her services will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 18 at Union UCC Church, 5550 Route 873, Neffs, with the Rev. Kris P. Snyder-Samuelson officiating.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Interment will be at the church cemetery.
