Loretta F. Connor

Loretta F. “Taffy” Connor, 88, of Lower Macungie Township, died Aug. 9, 2018, under hospice care in her home with her daughter and son by her side. She was the wife of the late Mitchell Walter Connor. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Dorothy (Parton) Polscer.

She was a 1948 graduate of William Allen High School and attended West Chester University.

She worked for many years as a bank teller before retiring from Wells Fargo.

She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, Emmaus.

She and her husband enjoyed traveling extensively over the years both internationally and domestically. She enjoyed summer and was a beach lover along with her family at Long Beach Island, N.J. and the winters in Palm Beach, Fla.

She was a member of the Emmaus Newcomers Club and the Corner Club at the former Anchorage, Emmaus.

She especially loved her good friends, the times spent with them playing cards and enjoying lunches together.

She is survived by a son, David M. and his wife Cynthia, of Coplay; daughter, Lynne and her husband Paul Ormsbee, of Salisbury Township; grandchildren, David, Patrick, Joshua and Zachary; great-grandson, Noah. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Lora and a sister, Judith Polscer.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Aug. 16 in the J. S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th and Hamilton streets., Allentown. A calling hour will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Aug. 16 in the funeral home.
