Sahil Inaganti selected for American Legion Boys Nation

Sahil Inaganti, a rising senior at Parkland High School, was selected as a senator for American Legion Boys Nation in the Washington, D.C. area, from July 20-27.

Boys Nation is an annual American Legion program that includes civic training, leadership development and a focus on Americanism.

Inaganti was previously elected President Pro Tempore at Pennsylvania Boys State, which had roughly 230 participants.

Additionally, he served as City Councilor, Chairman of his city’s and county’s Chambers of Commerce, and was appointed Secretary of State.

Inaganti was joined by Milan Chandy of Perkiomen Valley High School in representing Pennsylvania at Boys Nation.

At Parkland, Inaganti has served as president of the political science club, debate team, conservation club, scholastic scrimmage club, science club and is a co-founder of Parkland’s UNICEF Club.

He is a member of the Boy Scouts of America, National Honor Society, and Social Studies Honor Society and serves as a volunteer firefighter with the Upper Macungie Fire Department

Inaganti’s other accolades include Eastern Pennsylvania Conference championships in debate, Model UN and Scholastic Scrimmage; sixth place in the U.S. Geographic Olympiad; two-time national gold medalist in Science Olympiad; and bronze medalist in Le Grands Concours, National French Contest.

Inaganti wants to pursue a career as a health professional in the U.S. Public Health Service.
