Kevin A. Schaffer, 54, of Germansville, died Aug. 2, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born Dec. 27, 1963, in Allentown, he was the son of Paul E. and Shirley A. (Beil) Schaffer of Coplay.

He was the co-owner of ISS Fuel Sales and Service Inc., Germansville for 14 years before retiring.

Before that, he was employed at Mack Trucks Inc., Loikits Industrial Services and Iron Head Inc.

An automobile enthusiast, he was a member of the Ontelaunee Region Car Club and the Antique Automobile Club of America.

Additionally, he was a member of Heidelberg Fish and Game Club, Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club, Goodwill Fire Co. 1, Germansville, and a SAL member of Allen O. Delke American Legion Post 16, Slatington.

He was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Northampton.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by daughters Ashley L. Shrout and her husband, David, and Kasey T. Schaffer, all of Germansville; siblings Ann L. Steigerwalt and her husband, Ted, of Slatington, Keith A. Schaffer of Lehighton, and Karl A. Schaffer of Allentown; two nieces; five nephews; companion Carol A. Baer of Germansville; mother of his daughters, Trisha L. Snyder, of Germansville; and former wife, Marcy E. Gerkovich, of Germansville.
