Brian Douglas Ormsby

Brian Douglas Ormsby, 48, formerly of Emmaus, died unexpectedly July 17, 2018, in his home in Beaverton, Ore. He was the husband of Tiffan Sackett Ormsby. They were married for seven years. Born in Towanda, he was the son of Robert and Janet Ormsby of Lithia, Fla.

He graduated from Emmaus High School, Class of 1988, where he was a member of the cross country and track teams. He attended Penn State University and spent much of his professional life in the restaurant industry in Florida, Tennessee and Oregon. He was excited to begin a new career in the field of biomedical engineering technology upon his graduation from Portland Community College in March.

A loyal and trusted friend, he loved Penn State and Philadelphia sports, 1980s alternative music and the outdoors. His large physical presence belied his gentle nature. He was extremely selfless, giving and considerate of others.

A memorial service and luncheon celebrating Brian’s life will be held 11 a.m. Aug. 11 at Faith Presbyterian Church, 3002 N. Second St., Emmaus. Bright clothing, Penn State or Phillies attire is encouraged.

Arrangements were made by the Aloha Funeral Home and Crematory, Aloha, Ore.
