Amanda J. Layton

Amanda Jean (Faidley) Layton, 33, of Driftwood, Texas, formerly of Macungie, died July 17, 2018, at MD Anderson Medical Center, Houston, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Christopher David Layton for 12 years. Born in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., she was a daughter of Angela Darling Faidley and the late Stephen Victor Faidley.

She was a 2003 graduate of Emmaus High School and continued her education with an art degree from Lehigh Carbon Community College.

She was a pharmaceutical technician at CVS, Macungie; Saliba Pharmacy, Arizona; Lehigh Valley Hospital; Seton Hayes, Kyle Texas.

She is survived by her mother; in-laws, Bryant and Evette; grandparents, Jean Kirkland Darling, Jeanette and Victor Faidley; brother, William and his wife Savannah Faidley; sister, Samantha and her husband Michael Griffin; sister, Taylor Faidley; nieces and nephews, Sylvia, Marcus, Tyler and Delaney Griffin; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Contributions will be accepted to help offset travel expenses for family and for a future nonprofit in her memory; “Mandee’s Lunchbox” that will give food gift cards in tiny tin lunch boxes to cancer patients. A memorial Mass was celebrated at St. Ann Church, Emmaus.
