Chad Allen Owens, 42, formerly of Emmaus, died suddenly July 15, 2018, on Bald Head Island, N.C. He was the husband of Maria del Pilar (Martinez) Owens. He was the son of Gregory and Jacqueline (Eberts) Owens.

He was a graduate of Emmaus High School and Penn State University.

He worked at Air Products before relocating to the Washington, D.C. area.

He was an independent IT specialist and was a partner in an IT firm providing services to the U.S. Government.

His family meant everything to him and he loved teaching sports to his young son. He will be remembered for his outgoing, fun-loving personality and his strong work ethic and drive.

He is survived by his wife; parents; son, Javier Allen; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Russel and Mary (Sowden) Owens, Charles Eberts and Pearl (Schaeffer) Eberts.

A memorial mass will be held 11 a.m. July 26 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 7001 Georgetown Pike, McLean, Va.

A memorial cremation service was held for the immediate family members on July 18, 2018, in Wilmington, N.C.
