Gerald D. “Shug” Reese, 87, of Emmaus, died July 9, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Jacqueline D. (Boyer) Reese, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Stanley Reese and Myrtle (Schaffer) and Richard Mohr.

He honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean conflict.

He worked as an office manager in gas sales for Air Products for 40 years, retiring in 1994.

He was a member of St. John’s U.C.C., Emmaus.

He was an active member of the Emmaus Lions Club, serving as past president and a Melvin Jones recipient, was a member of the Mercantile Club of Emmaus and was a member of the Emmaus and Macungie Golf league.

He is survived by his wife; son, Scott D., of Macungie; daughter-in-law, Beth A., of Emmaus; grandchildren, Keri, Michael and Daniel; great-grandsons, Reese and Zachary. He was predeceased by a son, Rickie D.
