Brenda Trexler Myers, 79, of Nokomis, Fla., died June 23, 2018. She was born and raised in Macungie. She was the wife of John Myers. They were married for 60 years.

She graduated from Emmaus High School and went on to become an oncology nurse and hospice volunteer. Brenda had many passions. She loved her furry friends, and had an art for turning her many houses into homes. She traveled the world with her husband and visited 59 countries where she could be seen riding elephants or enjoying the customs of the local people.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Cindi Hamm (Joe Hughes), Lauri Johnson (Brien), Salli Bruell and John (Karen); brother, Joel Trexler (Barbara); 10 grandchildren, Sarah, Carolyn, Mark, Elizabeth, Kelly, Shawna, Audrey, Annie, Jane and Eve; many other family members and friends.

A memorial service was held at Church of the Palms, 3224 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, Fla., July 6.
