Stingrays knock off Macungie
The Hanover Stingrays summer swim team stayed undefeated in the Suburban Swim League after defeating Macungie, 320-261 last Thursday at Hanover. The Stingrays are now 6-0.
In individual events, first place finishers for the Stingrays were Julian Najarro in the 13-14 50 free with a time of 27.32, Natalie Richardson in the 15 & over 50 free with a time of 29.83, and Robert Negron in the 15 & over 50 free with a time of 24.43.
Daisy Stewart placed first in the 8 & under 25 breaststroke with a time of 28.59. Also placing first were Josh Baluta in the 8 & under breaststroke in 30.33, Leah Onia in the 9-10 25 breaststroke in 21.63, Natalie Brezinsky in the 11-12 50 breaststroke in 45.13, Wade Wu in the 11-12 50 breaststroke in 40.58, Sarah Park in the 13-14 50 breaststroke in 40.58, Sean McGuire in the 13-14 50 breaststroke in 36.17, Richardson in the 15 & over 50 breaststroke in 38.33, and Chris Chambers in the 15 & over 50 breaststroke in 32.19.
Wu came in first in the 11-12 100 IM in 1:17.08, Park was first in the 13-14 100 IM in 1:16.59, Taylor came in first in the 15 & over 100 IM in 1:12.15, and Negron was first in the 15 & over 100 IM in 1:03.57.
In the butterfly, Sienna Kent was first in the 8 & under 25 fly with a time of 30.22, Baluta won the 8 & under fly in 28.90, Katie Bruno won the 11-12 50 fly in 41.75, Taylor won the 15 & over 50 fly in 32.08, and Negron won the 15 & over 50 fly in 26.51.
In the backstroke, Onia placed first in the 9-10 25 backstroke with a time of 21.72, Mattie Baluta was first in the 11-12 50 backstroke in 45.53, Danny Lehr came in first in the 11-12 50 backstroke in 36.15, Patrick Gilhool won the 13-14 50 backstroke in 33.23, Anna Lehr won the 15 & over 50 backstroke in 33.77, and Jake Evert placed first in the 15 & over 50 backstroke in 28.26.
Sienna Kent took first place in the 8 & under 25 free with a time of 23.87, Natalie Brezinsky was first in the 11-12 50 free in 35.20, Wade Wu won the 11-12 50 free in 30.83, Julian Najarro won in the 13-14 100 free in 1:00.69, and Evert came in first in the 15 & over 100 free in 55.07.
