William J. Darnell

William J. “Bill” Darnell, 58, of Lower Mt. Bethel Township, Easton, died June 21, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, with his loving and dedicated family by his side.

He and his wife Jean E. (Yeager) Darnell were married 12 years.

Born in Flemington, N.J., he was the son of the late William J. and Lillian (Sporman) Darnell.

He was a model maker for Follett Corp., Forks Township, for 26 years.

An avid hunter and fisherman, he also enjoyed participating in quarter-mile drag racing, played and coached softball for many teams, and was a member of the Slate Belt Mighty Mopars, and the Shingle Mill Hunt Club.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter Crystal Cooper and her husband, Jason, of Bangor; grandchildren Hailley, Vera, Riley, Amber, Alexander, Zoey and JJ; son Derek Kerekes and his wife, Lindsey, of Easton; sisters Kathy Biederstadt, Cyndi Tarbox and husband, Bill, Sandie Bollinger and husband, Keith, Darlene Payne and husband, Mike; many nieces; nephews; extended family; and his three hunting dogs.

Memorial services will be private.
