Robert R. Shick Sr., 69, of New Tripoli, died June 13, 2018, in his home.

He and his wife Jan E. (Fetherolf) Shick celebrated 28 years of marriage in September 2017.

Born in Bucks County, he was the son of the late Raymond and Miriam (George) Shick.

A 1968 graduate of Quakertown High School, he was formerly a truck driver, roofer, clerk at Weis Markets, Schnecksville, and most recently, he worked for KRE Security, Hamburg.

He was an avid volunteer for the Lynnport, New Tripoli and Kempton fire companies, as well as, the Lehigh County Fire Police Association.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a son, Robert R. (Jen) Shick Jr. of Fleetwood; grandchildren Brett and Brittany; great-grandchildren Mya and Landon; sister Catherine Smith-Swanger of Walnutport; niece Brenda Snyder; and nephews Kendall Galusha and James Painter.

He was predeceased by sisters Mary Billiard and Linda Towich.

His memorial service will be 11 a.m. June 23 in Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, with a calling period to begin 9:30 a.m.

The Rev. Scott L. Shay will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to either the Lynnport and/or New Tripoli fire company sent to the funeral home, 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, PA 18066.
