Brown named First Presbyterian Pastor Emeritus
There will be a service of celebration at 9:45 a.m. June 24, to honor The Reverend Keith Brown with the title of Pastor Emeritus of First Presbyterian Church, Bethlehem. Following the combination traditional and contemporary service, there will be a celebratory brunch in the Kirk Center. Both events will be held at 2344 Center St.
Pastor Brown served the Presbyterian Church USA congregation from 1969-2000. He is being recognized for his exceptional service and faithfulness.
This is the first time in the congregation’s 140 year history that the title “Pastor Emeritus” has been bestowed.
Hunt, Anasti, win awards
St. Luke’s student Jonathan Hunt, a graduate of the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, won The J. Robert Willson Research Award and the School of Medicine Service Award.
The recipient of the research award exemplifies outstanding critical and analytic thinking, strong interest in research, and great promise for pursuing a career in the reproductive sciences.
The service award is given to a member of the graduating class who, through leadership and service, has made outstanding contributions to the life of the medical school.
James Anasti, M.D., director of student activities for Temple/St. Luke’s, and Clinical Professor OB/GYN for LKSOM, was recognized with the Drs. Henry P. and M. Page Laughlin Award for excellence in clinical teaching, as selected by Temple/St. Luke’s students.
