Northampton Area Public Library: Meet the author event June 9

Join us 1 p.m. June 9 as Jeremy Vermeulen discusses his first book, “My Happiness Journey: 8 Guiding Principles to a Happy Life.” There will be a discussion about writing and self-publishing, as well as a question-and-answer session.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase, and the author will be signing books.

Learn and Play for preschoolers is 10 a.m. June 13. Play and explore with STEM toys and activities with your child.

The program is for children from age 3 to those entering kindergarten.

Registration is not required.

A book brunch for students finishing kindergarten through fifth grade is 10 a.m. June 14. Discuss your favorite books or your current read.

Juice, fruit and doughnut holes will be available during our discussion.

Dungeons and Dragons 101 for teens and adults is set for 6 p.m. June 14. Learn game basics and character building with a real dungeon master.

Registration is required.

Play and build with our block collection 10 a.m. June 20. Have fun while strengthening vocabulary, problem solving, reading readiness and social skills.

This session is recommended for ages 2 and up, accompanied by an adult.

Sounds Like Science is scheduled for 6 p.m. June 21. Mad Science of the Lehigh Valley presents this special event that is action packed and includes interactive demonstrations.

This program is fun for the whole family.

The library will host an adult rock-painting program 6 p.m. June 27. Get creative while trying out the new fad of rock painting.

Summer learning programs and Summer Quest (formerly the summer reading program) sign-ups have begun for ages 10 months to fifth-grade students.

Teen and adult sign-ups for summer programs and summer reading are also available.
