Bath: Strawberry festival is June 9

Salem United Church of Christ, 2218 Community Drive, will be holding its annual strawberry festival 3-9 p.m. June 9. There will be food, games, bingo, a prize raffle and a cake walk.

Music will be provided by Country Rhythm.

In case of rain, food will be served inside the church 3-7 p.m.

The women’s group of Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church will be having a strawberry and chocolate festival June 11, starting 7 p.m. Invite your friends to enjoy chocolate and strawberries, fun and fellowship.

Sign-up sheets will be available, or you can call the church office at 610-837-1741, so we know how many chocolate lovers to plan for.

Governor Wolf Historical Society will hold its next monthly meeting 7 p.m. June 12 on the GWHS campus, 6600 Jacksonville Road. The public is welcome.

The GWHS’ museum will be open to the public 1-3 p.m. June 16 with tours of the society’s campus offered.

During the month of June, Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, will help Bath Area Food Bank by collecting jelly and cold cereal. The food bank is no longer accepting Jell-O or pudding. Grocery gift cards (preferably Ahart’s) are needed for emergencies.

Place all gift cards in an envelope marked “food bank” on the church secretary’s desk or give it to one of the pastors.

There are currently 256 families registered with the food bank.
