Louis C. Melinsky, 68, of Emmaus, died unexpectedly May 15, 2018. He was the devoted husband of Winnie (DiLeo) Melinsky. They were married for 30 years. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Louis A. and Stephanna (Kwiatek) Melinsky.
He was a graduate of Liberty High School and Moravian College.
He served as the business office manager at Sacred Heart Hospital for over 35 years and Grandview Hospital for eight years prior to his retirement.
He was a parishioner of the Cathedral Church of St. Catherine of Sienna, Allentown.
He was active in community organizations, including the Boy Scout Explorer Program and Center for Vision Loss and could always be found with a smile on his face.
His family was extremely important to him; he especially adored being Poppy to his grandson, Charlie.
He was an avid golfer, found great peace in fishing from the banks of a stream and appreciated spending time at the beach.
He is survived by his wife; brother, Tom Kwiatek and his wife, Louise; son, Morgan Burkhardt and his wife, Katie and grandson, Charlie; brother-in-law, Steve Geitz; sister-in-law, Mary Lou and her husband Rod Welsh; brother-in-law, James DiLeo; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and nephews as well as his extended family. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Ann Geitz.

Arrangements were made by the Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
