Clifford E. Moyer, 97, died May 12, 2018. He was the husband of the late Althea L. (Kuhns) Moyer who died in 1992. At 92 years of age, he married Concertina D. Greco, who predeceased him in June 2017. Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Clyde A. and Lottie M. Moyer.

He was a hardware clerk and buyer for M.S. Young and Co. and Shelly’s Hardware, Allentown, before working for General Electric until his retirement.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1946 and graduated from the Chicago Radio School in 1943. He taught radio mechanics to more than 6,000 students in Illinois. He served in the China-Burma-India theatre at the Headquarters Squadron during World War II. He was a radio mechanic for General Cross and General Albert Wedemeyer at Kunming and Shanghai, China.

He was a member of the Valley Basha in Allentown and a lifetime member of the National CBI veterans.

He was a frequent guest lecturer in area schools recalling his World War II experiences.
