The Freedom girls lacrosse team has kept their winning ways on track this season and appear on the road to solidifying an East Penn Conference tournament berth.
The Patriots (11-5) have two games left on the schedule following Monday’s 13-10 defeat to Saucon Valley, closing out this week against Liberty on Thursday night.
That should allow the Patriots to enter the EPC tourney apart of the four-team pack with Easton (11-2), Parkland (12-3) and Emmaus (9-6).
Freedom lost to Easton last week 16-12, cutting down the deficit from a 17-9 defeat in March, while knocking off Emmaus 11-10 recently.
The Liberty girls are 5-9 and accomplished one of their major goals of the season with a 10-9 win over Northampton on Saturday, giving them their first EPC win.
The Freedom boys (7-7) have won two straight over Northampton and Pleasant Valley by a 37-11 margin and look to finish out the year hot with games left against Phillipsburg, Southern Lehigh, Bethlehem Catholic and Liberty.
The Hurricanes (2-11) and Golden Hawks (0-10) have both struggled mightily this season, as Liberty’s two victories came against Becahi last week in back-to-back days.
The Hurricanes had a chance to grab their third win of the season on Tuesday against Pleasant Valley (2-12).
