The Northampton boys’ lacrosse team picked up another important building-block win for the program.
The K-Kids swept the season series with Bethlehem Catholic after a 10-1 win on Friday, April 27.
Junior midfielder Aiden Jones recorded three goals and an assist. Senior Greg Milnes and junior Kyle Wescoe each added two goals.
Northampton held the Golden Hawks scoreless for the first three quarters before Becahi tallied a late goal.
With four wins on the season, the K-Kids have surpassed their win total from the past three seasons combined.
Northampton will close the season with a road game at Pleasant Valley on May 7. The K-Kids defeated the Bears 10-9 in their first meeting.
The girls’ team suffered a tough 10-9 defeat to Liberty on April 28.
The Hurricanes led 10-6 with under 10 minutes remaining, but Northampton tallied three goals in a span of four minutes to bring the game within one. Liberty gained possession with two minutes remaining and was able to successfully bleed the clock with stalled possession.
Senior Camryn Devitt scored a season-high four goals for the K-Kids. Lauren Yeaw added two goals and two assists, with Domenica Lerch, Shannon Reinhard and Laura Filchner each recording a goal.
Ashley Coughlin continued her strong season in net with nine saves.
