Joseph A. Cichonski Sr.

Joseph A. Cichonski Sr. 89, of South Whitehall Township, died on April 20, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

The loving husband of the late Louise T. (Barsuglia) Cichonski, he worked at GE for 41 years until retiring in 1989.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Ozimkiewicz) Cichonski.

He attended Roman Catholic High School, Philadelphia, and was a member of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena, Allentown.

His joy was his family. A fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles, he witnessed both Philadelphia Eagles Championship wins at Franklin Fields in 1960 and their first Super Bowl win in 2018.

He also was a fan of the New York Yankees.

He was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council 528, Allentown.

His survivors include sons Joseph A. Jr. and his wife, Crystal, of Bensalem, and Charles A. and his wife, Diane, Gerald A. and his wife, Susan, of and Robert A. and his wife, Margaret, all of Allentown; daughter Linda C., wife of Barry Pflueger, of Allentown; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Walt and a sister Loretta DiDomenico.
