Joseph Rocco Vassallo Jr., “Rocky”, 66, of Emmaus, died peacefully April 18, 2018. He was the husband of Karen Vassallo. They were married for 27 years. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of Joseph R. Sr. and Marianne E. (Ferrizzi) Vassallo. He was the oldest of seven children.

He worked in construction for many years in the Lehigh Valley and enjoyed his work at Battery Warehouse Outlet.

He centered his life spending time with his wife, his four boys, his grandchildren and dog Chewie.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Joseph R. III (Kristy), Timothy (Erinn), Nicholas and Anthony; four grandchildren Kaitlyn, Kylee, Joseph and Ava; siblings Matthew, Christina, Marianne, Victoria and Donna; Lynn and Eleanor Lichtenwalner; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Samuel.

Contributions may be made in his memory to Lehigh Valley Hospital Hospice Care Unit, 1200 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown, 18103.

A graveside service will be held at Zion’s Union Church, Maxatawny, 1:30 p.m. April 28.
