Ruth L. Gruber, 64, of Slatington, died April 13, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She and her husband Allen C. Gruber Sr. were married 47 years.

Born Oct. 12, 1953, in Palmerton, Carbon County, she was the daughter of William J. Jones Jr. and his wife, Ruth, of Emerald, and Helen M. (Musselman) Bertsch and her husband, Clint, of Walnutport.

She was a bookkeeper and secretary since 1975, for Allen Gruber Concrete Contractor Inc., Slatington.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by sons Allen C. Jr. of Germansville and Rodnie L. of Slatington; siblings William J. Jones III and his wife, Debra, and Eva E. Jones, all of Walnutport; and grandchildren Brandon, BreAnna, Austin, Justin and Skylar.
