Marjorie L. Haaf

Marjorie L. Haaf, 94, of Allentown, died March 31, 2018.

She was a daughter of the late George D. and Elsa Yunkert Haaf.

A 1942 graduate of Allen High School, she attended pharmacy school in Philadelphia.

She was a teller for and worked in the wire transfer department of Allentown National Bank.

She spent her summers as a girl in Haafsville with her grandmother, brothers and cousin Anna.

She enjoyed living in Allentown and walking to work and shopping, and she very much enjoyed spending time at her brother Ralph’s farms picking dandelion and making dandelion and hot bacon dressing, a Pennsylvania Dutch favorite dish.

An avid dog owner, she enjoyed her beagles.

She was a lifelong member of Ziegels Lutheran Church, Breinigsville.

Her survivors include a brother, retired Col. Ralph D. Haaf; nephew George D. Haaf and his sons, Ralph D. Haaf II and wife Samantha, David W. Haaf and Jonathan D. Haaf; nephew Timothy Haaf and wife, Debra, and their children and other relatives.

She was predeceased by her sister, Marie, and brother Homer.

Services were a private family grave side service at Ziegels Union Cemetery.
