K-Kids Wrapup Softball wins 3
Northampton’s softball team won all three of its games last week and outscored its opponents 38-9.
In the K-Kids’ 16-4 win over Pleasant Valley, Heather Alich reached base four times and scored four runs. Hannah Boggs went 2-for-3 with three RBI and three runs scored. Northampton hosts Stroudsburg on Thursday, April 19 then travels to Nazareth on Saturday, April 21.
The baseball team went 1-2 last week with a victory over William Allen and losses to Whitehall and Pleasant Valley. In the victory over the Canaries, Brittain Shander scored four runs and Kyle Morin went 2-for-3 with a home run. Shander recorded multiple hits in all three games. The K-Kids will host Stroudsburg on Thursday, April 19 before playing Nazareth at Coca-Cola Park on Saturday, April 21.
The boys’ volleyball team won both of its matches last week to improve to 6-3 on the season. The K-Kids swept Bethlehem Catholic and Dieruff. Northampton travels to Easton on Thursday, April 19 before hosting Whitehall on Monday, April 23.
The boys’ tennis team split their four matches last week. The K-Kids beat William Allen 7-0 and Wilson 5-2, but dropped matches to Liberty and Central Catholic.
The girls’ lacrosse team went 1-2 last week with an 8-7 victory over Liberty and losses to Saucon Valley and Pleasant Valley. The girls have a triple-header this week with games at Nazareth on Thursday, April 19, at home against Scranton Prep on Friday the 20th, and at home against Easton on Saturday the 21st.
The boys’ lacrosse team has started to find its offense. After scoring a total of ten goals in their first three games, the K-Kids have scored 23 in their last three. Northampton hosts Pleasant Valley on Thursday, April 19 before traveling to Pottsgrove on Saturday, April 21.
The track and field team swept a dual meet with East Stroudsburg North. The boys’ team won 113-36 and the girls defeated the Timberwolves 101-49.
The K-Kids claimed the top spot in each of the girls’ long-distance races. Hannah Flaven won the 400-meters with a time of 1:03.3. Lauren Pague won the 800-meters in 2:44.9. Georgia Wiswesser won the 1,600-meters in 6:08.9. Kyleigh Staub won the 3,200-meters in 14:14.3.
Brooke Rockovits won the high jump clearing the 4-foot-9 mark. Alexis Barrall won the pole vault and Abigail Czarnecki won the long jump at 15-6. Elizabeth Fehnel won the javelin with a throw of 94-5.
On the boys’ side, Jared Jackson won the 400-meters with a time of 52.6. Dalton Domchek won the 800-meters in 2:16.7. Evan Gillette won the 1,600-meters in 5:07.0. Owen Nahf won the 3,200-meters in 11:10.0. Samuel Arnold swept the hurdle events, winning the 110-meters in 16.9 and the 300-meters in 43.7.
Doug Sacco won the high jump with a mark of 6-2. Jacob Czarnecki won the pole vault with a clearance of 8-9. Zach Liggitt swept the shot put and discus events, with Aaron Marth taking home the top spot in the javelin.
