Cynthia J. Shakespeare, 68, of Macungie, died April 13, 2018, in her residence. She was the wife of W. Jeffrey Shakespeare, with whom she celebrated 43 years of marriage. Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Mary (Simpson) Farley.

She was a 1967 graduate of St. Gabriel’s High School and a graduate of McCann Business School.

She worked as a regulatory compliance specialist for Buckeye Pipeline for 10 years.

She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Dr. W. Gregory and his wife Miral Patel, of Sacramento, Calif. and Daniel Joseph “DJ” and his wife Elaine Zundl, of Jersey City, N.J.; daughter, Elizabeth and her husband Jared Smith, of San Diego, Calif.; brother, George Farley, of Palmyra; sisters, Marianne Morgan, of Lewes, Del. and Geraldine Farley, of Lake Placid, Fla.; grandson, Theodore Shakespeare Smith.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. April 21 in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. in the church. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
