David W. Leindecker, 73, formerly of Zionsville, died in his son’s home March 16, 2018. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Ralph Young and Eva (Landis) Leindecker.
He was the co-owner of Charles’ Chips for over 35 years.
He was one of the world’s top chess players and was a professional boxer for over 20 years.
He was an avid fan of NASCAR and the Philadelphia Eagles.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church, Allentown.
He is survived by a son, Thomas Moll and his fiancee, Kimberly R. Gehris; 12 grandchildren, including Danielle Gehris and her children, Robert Hernandez Jr. and Jeremiah Thomas Gehris; brother, Henry. He was predeceased by brothers, Tommy and Danny.

Services are private. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Homes, Allentown.
