Walter R. “Pop: Walck Jr., 79, of Emmaus, died March 25, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of the late Joan L. (Miller) Walck. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Lillian (Morris) and Walter R. Walck Sr.

He was a carpenter by trade and worked in maintenance for Rodale and Lehigh Country Club.

He is survived by sons, Jeffrey A., of Emmaus and Jarrett L. and his wife Karen, of Emmaus; daughter, Joni L. and her husband Raymond Geisler, of Emmaus; brothers, Frederick, of Emmaus and Edwin, of Macungie; sisters, Mary Jane Plarr, of Macungie and Elsie Spiro, of Emmaus; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Craig D. and a brother, Stanford.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. March 28 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held noon to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
