Roger L. Wollen, 80, of Emmaus, died March 25, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Louise (Rauscher) Wollen for 57 years last June. Born in Seattle, Wash., he was a son of the late Trygve and Lillian (Skaarhaug) Wollen.

He was employed at Mack Trucks, Inc., for 21 years.

He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Allentown.

He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. After being discharged from the Air Force, he left Portland, Ore. and moved across the country, where he met his pen pal, who became the love of his life. He settled here to start a new life and family.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Nancy and her husband Raymond Conver, of Emmaus; son, Peter and his wife DeAnn; sister, Ruth E. Warnock, of Portland, Ore.; sister-in-law, Ruth and her husband Donald Campolongo, of Macungie; grandchildren, David Gould, Andrew, Jonathon, Timothy, Daniel and Joshua; one niece and nephews.

Services will be 11 a.m. March 30 at St. Peters Union Church, 5129 Schochary Road, New Tripoli. Visitation will be 10:30 to 11 a.m. March 30 in the funeral home.
