Kenneth R. Moyer, 85, of Salisbury Township, died March 16, 2018, in his home, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Doris B. (Diehl) Moyer. They celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in December. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Llewellyn B. and Marian M. (Gross) Moyer.

He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, receiving a Purple Heart.

He was a carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 29 years.

He was a lifetime member of the Fireman’s Association.

He was an accomplished carpenter and gardener, sharing the fruits of his labor with all.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Carol and her husband Vincent Valentino, of Pottstown, Peggy Ann Herring, of Allentown and Karen and her husband Michael Buck, of Bethlehem; son, Richard Dorward and his wife Linda, of Oxnard, Calif.; brother, Edward, of Whitehall; sister, Elizabeth, of Allentown; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard and a sister, Dorothy Matthew.

Services are private at his request. Arrangements were made by the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
