Roger L. Wollen, 80, of Emmaus, died March 25, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He and his wife, Louise (Rauscher) Wollen, were married 57 years last June.

Born in Seattle, Wash., he was a son of the late Trygve and Lillian (Skaarhaug) Wollen.

His last place of employment was Mack Trucks Inc. where he worked for 21 years.

He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church, Allentown.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force.

After being discharged from the Air Force, he left Portland, Ore., and moved across the country, where he met his pen pal, who became the love of his life and he settled here to start a new life and family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Nancy Conver and husband, Raymond, of Emmaus; son Peter and wife, DeAnn; sister Ruth E. Warnock of Portland, Ore.; sister-in-law Ruth Campolongo and husband, Donald, of Macungie; grandchildren; David Gould, Andrew, Jonathon, Timothy, Daniel and Joshua Wollen; one niece and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. March 30 at St. Peter’s Lynnville, UCC, 5129 Schochary Road, New Tripoli.

Visitation will be 10:30 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in church cemetery.
