Norma J. Grammes, 86, of Coplay, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, died unexpectedly March 23, 2018, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown.
She and her husband Richard L. Grammes would have celebrated 66 years of marriage in April.
Born in Minesite, she was the daughter of the late Paul T. Sr. and Sallie R. (Snyder) Bieber.
She and her husband co-owned Norma J Restaurant since 1967, which her family continues to operate.
A member of Jordan Lutheran Church, as a child she was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church.
She was a 1950 graduate of Emmaus High School and worked in the X-ray department of the former Allentown General Hospital before her marriage.
Mostly, she will be remembered for the love she had for raising her three children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons Michael R. and his wife, Kelly-Anne, and Douglas P.; daughter Jamie L.; brother Lloyd; grandchildren Matthew M., Kimberly A., Samuel R.; and great-grandchildren Lily and Daniel.
She was predeceased by her sister Caroline Bortz; and brothers Paul T., Jr., Kermit and Dale.
