James R. Remaley, 81, of Bethlehem, died March 17, 2018, in Cedarbrook Nursing Home, South Whitehall Township. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Arthur and Catherine Remaly. He was the husband of Connie Sue Remaley for 47 years.

He was a graduate of William Allen HS, Allentown, and attended Lincoln Technical Institute.

He was an insurance agent for many years and worked for Baltimore Life, Metropolitan and N.Y. Life Insurance companies until he retired.

in addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Deborah Ranck of Manheim, Sean Remaley of Bethlehem, Tanya Remaley of South Boundbrook, N.J., Debra Decker of Bethlehem and Jeffrey Fritchman of Saylorsburg; three sisters, Elizabeth Stephens, Janet Baker and Dolly Salter; a brother, Robert Remaly; six grandchildren, Bayley Ranck, Caiden Rankin, Kori and Taylor Decker, Jessica Figueroa and Jordan Fritchman; and three great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a sister, Marion; and a brother, Edward Remaly.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
