William C. Ketner, 86, of Emmaus, died in his home March 14, 2018. He was the husband of Gladys S. (Strouse) Ketner. Born in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Harry and Pearl (Trout) Ketner.
He graduated from Schuylkill Haven High School and Penn State University, where he was a member of the Acacia fraternity.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a member of St. Matthew’s Evangelical Congregation Church, Emmaus.
He was employed as a project manager at Air Products and Chemicals for 27 years until retiring.
He and his wife were adventuresome traveling to Alaska, Yellowstone, Cozumel and the beach. He loved all things associated with his alma mater and his fraternity. He also enjoyed hiking, fishing, bike riding and skiing.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Michael and his wife, Amy, Jeffrey; daughter, Lydia and her husband John Marcante; grandchildren, Ryan, Lauren, Anthony, Jason and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Michael, William, Sophia and Olivia.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. March 24 at St. Matthew’s Evangelical Congregation Church, 35 N. Fifth St., Emmaus. Calling hours will be held 9 to 11 a.m. March 24 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Homes, Emmaus.
