Jean S. Heinze, 89, of Macungie, formerly of Allentown, died March 14, 2018, in the home of her daughter. She was the wife of the late G. Chester Heinze Jr. Born in Peely, she was a daughter of the late John and Sybilla (Hufford) Lance.
She served as a medical assistant for Dr. Henry Fetterman for 31 years, retiring in 1998.
She was an active member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Allentown, where she was an elder, deacon, choir member, Sunday school teacher, financial secretary and a member of the benevolence committee, prayer committee and Bible study.
She volunteered for the Early Bloomers at the church, Planned Parenthood and the Elephant Trunk.
She is survived by sons, Thomas C., of Scranton, David M. and his wife Carrie B., of Wescosville; daughter, Jane D. Lindenmuth, of Macungie; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. John’s U.C.C., 36 S. 6th St., Allentown.
