Dawn A. Straughn, 62, of Allentown, died on March 17, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Inpatient Hospice Unit, Allentown.

She was the widow of Michael W. Straughn.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late H. Edward and Jeanette (Kleppinger) Taylor.

A paralegal for the Law Offices of Steckel and Stopp, Slatington, for many years, she was also secretary and treasurer for Lynn Township for 15 years.

She loved animals and enjoyed volunteering at The Sanctuary at Haafsville.

Her survivors include her daughter Jeanette Straughn (Redden); son Michael W. Straughn II; brother H. Edward Taylor; sister Debra Doto; grandchildren Cory, Ethan and Owen Redden, and Benton Straughn; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place 6:30-8 p.m. on March 22 at Keller Funeral Homes Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville.
