Firearms seminar

KUTZTOWN

State Rep. Gary Day, R-187th, is offering a special concealed carry seminar 6-8 p.m. March 22, at the Kutztown Grange, along South Kemp Street, Kutztown.

“This seminar is designed to inform people about the various intricacies of our state’s laws regarding firearms and how to safely interact with police when carrying a firearm,” Day said.

The presentation will include aspects of the Castle Doctrine law, which was passed a few years ago. Guest speakers will include Berks County Sheriff Eric J. Weaknecht. Doors open 5 p.m.

Mt. Zion

Mt. Zion Lutheran Church,1343 Long Lane Road, Krumsville, is having a sausage sandwich sale 4-7 p.m. on March 16. Meal includes sandwich, chips and drink. Eat-in or takeout will be available.

U.L. Lions

Benefit dinner on March 16

Upper Lehigh Lions Club, Schnecksville, will be cooking up an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner 4-8 p.m. March 16 at the Schnecksville Fire Company pavilion.

Meal includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad bar, homemade dessert and a beverage.

Proceeds will benefit the roof collapse rebuilding fund for the fire company.
