Doris E. Dieter
Doris E. Dieter, 88, from Allentown, died on March 6, 2018, in St. Luke’s University Hospital, Bethlehem.
She was the wife of the late Howard Benton Dieter.
Born July 24, 1929, in Slatington, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Evelyn Mae (Krause) Fenstermacher.
She was a production line technician at PET Milk, Allentown, for 27 years before retiring in 1991.
Since her formal retirement, she accompanied her husband as co-pilot of his tractor trailer, as they traveled extensively throughout the United States for 13 years.
A member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Cedar Union Church, Cetronia, she was a proud member of the Red Hat Ladies and the Coplay Seniors.
She was also a crocheting champ and enjoyed relaxing, weather permitting, on her Miss Ellie porch.
Her survivors include children Amy L. Dieter and her companion, Bernie Ferry, of Lititz, Roger A. Dieter and his wife, Sandy, of Allentown, Melinda M. Bond and her husband, Kenny, of Bath, Kathryn A. Rhoades and her husband, Gary, of Slatington, Alecia M. Kloiber and her husband, Henry, of Adamstown, Brian D. Dieter and his wife, Sandra, of Whitehall; sisters Elaine A. Rowlands and her husband, Charles, of Slatington, Lois J. Weber of Allentown; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother-in-law Lewis (Butch) Weber.
