George David Jones

George David Jones, 59, of New Ringgold, died Feb. 28, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, after being stricken at his business.

He was the husband of Deborah A. (Klotz) Jones, with whom he happily spent the last 20 years.

Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Hazel (Hower) Blinkhorne and a stepson of Robert Blinkhorne of Catasauqua.

He was the owner and operator of George Jones 309 Auto, Tire, Service and Sales Company, formerly of Germansville, and later of New Tripoli since 1993.

He took a great interest in cars and loved to travel, but above all, he loved his family.

He was known for his spontaneity and his loving and generous heart.

In addition to his stepfather and loving wife, he is survived by daughters Lori A. Bolasky of Kempton and Sara N. Kraus of Nesquehoning; sons Scott D. (Emily) Bolasky of Conshohocken, and Denver R. Jones and wife, Elecia Taylor, of Yorktown, Va.; stepson, Nathan D. Handwerk of Walnutport; sisters Patty, wife of Jim Farbo, of Ephrata, Carolyn, wife of Butch Steward, of Lehighton, Betsy Matz of Allentown, and Heather, wife of Steven Gyecsek, of Northampton; 10 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters-in-law.

His memorial service will be 11 a.m. March 10 in the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, with the visitation period beginning at 10 a.m.

The Rev. Todd A. Glasmire will officiate.
