Jerome M. Dancheck, 77, of Whitehall, died peacefully Feb. 24, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospice, surrounded by his loving and dedicated family.
He and his wife Janet K. (Price) Dancheck were married 52 years.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Michael and Josephine (Kozelsky) Dancheck.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, and continued his patriotism throughout his life.
A 1957 graduate of GAR High School, he earned his degree from Lafayette College in 1974.
A mechanical engineer for Air Products and Chemicals, he retired in 2000.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially attending sporting events of his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Michelle Piatkiewicz and husband, Jon, of Fogelsville; son Mark Dancheck and wife, Kim, of Indiana; grandchildren Zachary, Rachel, Jeremy and Jenna; and sister Patricia Williams of Virginia.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon March 1 in St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 4 S. Fifth St, Coplay, PA 18037 with Rev. Msgr. James J. Martin as celebrant.
His viewing will be 1-11:45 a.m. March 1 in the church foyer.
Interment will follow in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Whitehall.
