Gordon R. Rothrock, 95, of Slatington, died Jan. 31, 2018, in his home.
He was the husband of the late Ruth B. (Waltz) Rothrock.
Born Oct. 16, 1922, in Cementon, he was the son of the late Arlo and Esther (Newhard) Rothrock.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II earning the rank of sergeant, and receiving the Distinguished Service Medal with five Bronze Stars.
He was a kiln laborer at the former Dragon Cement Co., Northampton, for more than 40 years before retiring.
He was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.
His survivors include daughters Lucille W., wife of Jeffrey R. Kuhns, of Emmaus, Lana W. Reitz, and Leoma W., wife of George T. Kern, all of Slatington; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs. There will be no calling hours.
