Dale H. Schneck

Dale H. Schneck, 88, of Schnecksville, died Jan. 31, 2018, in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

He and his wife Anna M. (Zuanet) Schneck were married 64 years last June 13.

Born June 19, 1929, in Schnecksville, he was the son of the late Herbert and Olive M. (Reitz) Schneck.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era earning the rank of corporal.

While serving, he worked as a guided missile instructor at Fort Bliss, Texas.

A shipping and receiving manager at Sears, Whitehall, for 44 years, he retired in 1991.

He was a member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, and faithfully attended Mass at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.

He served on the board of directors of the Sears Retirees’ Organization, and was a life member of Community Fire Co. No. 1, Schnecksville.

An avid outdoorsman, he was a former member of the Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club, New Tripoli.

He enjoyed taking bus trips and playing cards with friends.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter, Gail A. Fox and her husband, Ronald, of New Tripoli; son Gary D. Schneck and his wife, Debbie, of Schnecksville; and grandson Colin G. Schneck of Schnecksville.

A private funeral service will take place at Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Schnecksville, with the Rev. Msgr. Robert J. Wargo officiating.

There will be no public calling hours. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
