The Rev. Richard Wagner Spengler, 81, of Estero, Fla. and Macungie, died Jan. 23, 2018, at his home in Estero. He was the husband of Mary Ann (Hartzell) Spengler. They were married for 57 years in June. Born in Bath, he was the son of the late Earl and Elsie Spengler.

He is survived by his wife; sons, David, of Tokyo, Japan, James, of Bryn Mawr and Stephen and his wife Susan, of LaGrange, N.C.; granddaughters Emily, Lisa and Mary Ella; brother Earl. He was predeceased by brothers, Daniel and Mark and sister, Eileen.

Services will be held at a later date at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Trexlertown. Arrangements were made by the Schmoyer Funeral Home, Breinigsville.
