Borough council, emergency personnel take oath

Newly re-elected Northampton Borough Council members took the oath of office at the Jan. 2 reorganization meeting at the borough municipal building. Also sworn in were Northampton Fire Department volunteer firefighters.

Borough Mayor Thomas Reenock administered the oath of office to Councilmen Anthony Lopsonzski Jr., Robert McHale, Keith Piescienski and Tony Pristash.

Also serving on the borough council are Edward Pany, Anthony Lopsonzski Sr., Julia “Judy” Kutzler and Kenneth Hall.

Council members voted to reappoint Lopsonzski Jr. as council president and Piescienski as vice president.

Fire department personnel were also sworn in. Wearing their dress uniforms, 13 volunteer firefighters took their oaths.

Serving as borough solicitor is Steven Goudsouzian.
