Wilbert John Weber Jr. 83, of New Tripoli, formerly of Allentown, died Jan. 8, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He and his wife Kathleen L. (Riedy) Weber were married 64 years last June 12.
Born Nov. 28, 1934, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Wilbert John Sr. and Dorothy B. (Smock) Weber.
He built, owned and operated the Allentown KOA Campground, New Tripoli, for 25 years.
Before that, he was an architectural draftsman and project manager for several architects in the Lehigh Valley for 20 years.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary in the Florida Keys in the early 1990s.
He was a former member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, East Allentown, and Seibert Evangelical Congregational Church, Allentown, where he served as a Boy Scout Master and church council member at both churches.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by children Ronald P. Weber (Bonnie) of New Tripoli, Diane L. Wentz (Thomas) of Orefield, Michael D. Weber (Lori) of Schnecksville, Lori A. Sarnie (Joseph) of Orefield; grandchildren Blake and Brittany Weber, Tara Wentz Goosley, Cassi Wentz Williams, Michael Jr. and Meghan Weber, Tiana and Kirby Tapper; great-grandchildren Alexa, Robert and Benjamin Goosley, and Jacob Williams.
