Freedom’s boys’ swim team scored two victories last week, one against Pocono Mountain East 106-63, and another against Pocono Mountain West 107-62.
In the meet against Pocono Mountain East, Colin Burnette, Grayden Hogan, Spencer Smith, and Jack Rosen won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:51.05.
“The relays are pretty good. We try and mix it up so everyone gets their chance,” said Freedom junior Al Bell. “Everyone is dropping time. We train differently now so this is the high point of the season for training. We try and focus on technique so that will help us drop more time.”
Bell took first place in the 200 free with a time of 1:44.07 and in the 100 fly in 52.28. “My fly is pretty good. I’ve done decent times.”
“My main [event] is the 200 free right now. This is the third time I’ve gone 1:44,” he said.
Burnette placed first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:10.49 and the 100 backstroke in 57.43, and Shawn Higgins won the 50 free in 26.16.
