Jean A. Best, 69, of Orefield, died Jan. 5, 2018, in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

She and her husband Lewis L. Best were married 51 years last Oct. 24.

Born Feb. 17, 1948, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Sulick) Kokolus.

The office manager of Best Insurance Agency, Schnecksville, for 34 years, she retired in 2012.

She was a member of Jordan Evangelical Lutheran Church, Orefield.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by a son Gregg W. of Wind Gap; daughter Julie A. Boscia (Christopher) of Orefield; brother Peter M. Kokolus (Lynn) of Allentown; sisters Nancy M. Dobil (Mark Sr.) of Orefield, Patricia J. Humes (Michael) of Mertztown; sister-in-law Alyce P. Wilner (David Kuriluk) of Cocoa, Fla.; grandchildren Alex, Michael, and Callie; many nieces and nephews.

She predeceased by siblings Timothy J. and Michael A. Kokolus.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
