Donald R. Dougherty, 82, of Emmaus, died Dec. 22, 2017, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Robert L. and Gertrude V. (Barley) Dougherty.

He was employed by Brown Shoe Factory for 22 years, Modern Clothing for 10 years, the Hess’s Patio Restaurant for nine years and the former LoBaido’s Restaurant as a kitchen helper before retiring.

He is survived by a sister, Kathryn M. and her husband Michael Scarpino, of Allentown. He was predeceased by sisters, Dolores M. and Barbara A. Rex Nov. 25, 2017.
