Franklin Christian Turney III, 59, of Germansville, died unexpectedly Dec. 29, 2017, in his home.
He and his wife Lori A. (Sulzer) Turney were married 34 years.
Born Aug. 29, 1958, in Philadelphia, he was the son of Franklin C. Turney Jr. of Newport, N.C. and the late Jeanette M. (Wurster) Turney.
A member of Plumbers Union Local 690, he worked throughout eastern Pennsylvania for the last 35 years before retiring in April.
He will be forever remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed boating, bicycling, traveling and sports.
In addition to his loving wife and father, he is survived by children Lauren Ashley Drinkward and her husband, Matt, of Carlsbad, Calif., and Vincent Christian Turney of Lancaster; siblings CarolAnne Wendt of Newport, N.C., Katherine Ballinger of Bethlehem, Jeanette Jannette of St. James City, Fla., Marie Muth of New Tripoli, Christopher Turney of Tacoma Wash., Paul Turney of Buckley, Mich.; grandchildren Ryder and Sydney Drinkward; mother- and father-in-law John “Jack” L. and Barbara A. (Hoffman) Sulzer of Allentown; and beloved dog, Morgan.
He was predeceased by a sister, Eileen Turney.
Family and friends may pay their respects 1:30-3:30 p.m. Jan. 6 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville.
