Ernest W. Rupp, 89, formerly of Fogelsville, died Dec. 23, 2017, in Evans Retirement Center, Fleetwood.

Born in Weisenberg Township, he was the son of the late Willard D. and Edna (Shellhammer) Rupp.

A planning estimator for the U.S. Navy civil service division in Philadelphia for 24 years, he retired in 1988.

He loved fishing and the outdoor life, as well as reading.

His survivors include sons Gregory and fiancée Diane Sostak of Mertztown, and Timothy of Coopersburg; and grandchildren, Dakota, Torrey and Arlen.

He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Shania.
